AA LODGE AMBOSELI is strategically located 4km outside Amboseli National Park main gate (Kimana Gate). Conveniently within the Emali-Loitoktok highway, it is 240 km from Nairobi, 90 km from Namanga and 16 km from Amboseli airstrip.The lodge is set in 60 acres of land and commands a strategic location due to its proximity to the park, the authentic culture of the local Maasai Community and the panoramic views of the snow caped Mt. Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest free standing mountain.

A Highly Recommended Stay at AA Amboseli
AA Amboseli delivered an absolutely wonderful experience, blending comfort and accessibility perfectly for an unforgettable safari trip.
The commitment to guest satisfaction starts and ends with the people. The staff here are genuinely super friendly and attentive; their warmth made us feel instantly welcome and cared for throughout our stay. They even went above and beyond to celebrate my birthday with a special dance and a lovely cake—a truly memorable touch! This attention to detail extends to the facilities, as the rooms and all resort grounds were immaculately clean, reflecting a true pride in maintenance.
Dining was a major highlight. The food buffet was consistently nice, offering a wide variety of freshly prepared, delicious options for every meal. Evenings are particularly special, featuring a relaxed campfire setting and engaging cultural performances, like the traditional Masai or other local dances, alongside a generous and enjoyable drink selection at the bar.
The amenities further enhance the stay significantly. The swimming pool is large and spotlessly clean, offering a refreshing break from the Kenyan heat. A special mention must go to the spa: the massage services are truly nice and an absolute must-have experience for complete relaxation.
Highly recommend AA Amboseli for its quality, outstanding staff, and excellent overall value.

The experience was good. Food was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. Rooms were clean and tidy. The location was also good for viewing the mountainous environment and the wildlife.

Very bad resort reasons
1 The Wi-Fi doesn't work in the bedrooms, and even the mobile phone SIM cards don't work in the bedrooms.
2 bedrooms are very bad dirty and dilapidated as is the bathroom
3 Insects are present inside the rooms and bathroom
I don’t recommend everyone stay at the resort

I spent a night at this hotel during a safari in Amboseli. The hotel is very clean, the staff very welcoming, and the food good. The grounds are lovely, with a swimming pool, a restaurant, and a bar. The rooms are spacious. I would gladly return.
We stayed at the hotel as part of a safari, the views of Kilik were amazing, the service and the pool were amazing
From the booking process, to the checkin, to the restaurant, the room (we stayed at family cottage No. FC6), the swimming pool, the swimming supervisors (Stephen n Thatcher). Everything is incredibly good. The manager Johnson is always at hand to assist in all areas, be it rooms, restaurant, laundry and even organised a Masai Dance in the evening after our beautiful game drive. This is a great hotel offering beyond our paid value. I highly recommend AA Lodge Amboseli.
Upon arrival we were all treated so so well by the staff. They helped us with everything we needed and were completely nice the whole time. I’m so grateful to experience Amboseli with my family and stay in this great establishment where the food is amazing and plenty , the swimming pool is so refreshing during the sunny weather and the bonfire every night where you feel warm while enjoying a maasai dance! Complements to the chef.

Beautiful stay overall, but the water/juice policy needs work
We stayed at AA Lodges recently and overall had a lovely experience. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, exactly what we needed for our Amboseli trip. The food was decent, and I especially enjoyed their lunch menus throughout our stay.
However, something that truly surprised me (and honestly felt quite odd) was the fact that despite paying for full board, basic beverages like water and juice were not included. Having to buy water separately and not even standard options like Keringet or Mayers, but branded lodge water felt unnecessary and a bit unsettling. Even simple juice during lunch was an extra cost.
I hope management reconsiders this policy because it takes away from an otherwise wonderful experience. Including at least drinking water and basic juice with meals would make the stay feel much more complete and guest-friendly.
